## ⚠️ CRITICAL: NO CHANGES TO graphiti_core/
**DO NOT modify any files in the `graphiti_core/` directory.**
Why:
- We use the **official graphiti-core from PyPI** in our Docker builds
- Changes to `graphiti_core/` will break upstream compatibility
- Our custom Docker image only includes **MCP server changes**, not core changes
- Modifying `graphiti_core/` will cause merge conflicts when syncing with upstream
**What you CAN modify:**
- ✅ `mcp_server/` - Our custom MCP server implementation
- ✅ `DOCS/` - Documentation for our setup
- ✅ `.github/workflows/build-custom-mcp.yml` - Our custom build workflow
**What you CANNOT modify:**
- ❌ `graphiti_core/` - Core library (use upstream version)
- ❌ `server/` - REST API server (use upstream version)
- ❌ Root-level files like `pyproject.toml` (unless necessary for build)

Graphiti is a Python framework for building temporally-aware knowledge graphs designed for AI agents. It enables real-time incremental updates to knowledge graphs without batch recomputation, making it suitable for dynamic environments.
