The architecture effectively separates tenant context, enforces tenant selection, and propagates tenant identity to the backend API. ## Detailed Findings ### 1. Tenant Selection **Status:** ✅ Correctly Implemented * **Mechanism:** Tenant selection is managed via the `TenantStore` (Zustand) and persisted in `localStorage`. * **Enforcement:** * `App.tsx` acts as a route guard, rendering `TenantSelectionPage` if no tenant is selected. * `LoginPage.tsx` requires a tenant to be selected before authentication can proceed. * **UI Components:** * `TenantSelector.tsx`: Provides a dropdown for selection and a read-only view with a "Switch" button. * `TenantSelectionPage.tsx`: Provides a full-page grid view for initial tenant selection. * **Switching Flow:** Clicking "Switch Tenant" in the header clears the selection in the store, triggering `App.tsx` to re-render the `TenantSelectionPage`, effectively allowing the user to choose a new tenant. ### 2. Knowledge Base (KB) Switching **Status:** ✅ Correctly Implemented * **Mechanism:** KB selection is also managed via `TenantStore` and persisted in `localStorage`. * **UI Integration:** * The `TenantSelector` component includes a KB selector dropdown. * In `SiteHeader.tsx`, the `TenantSelector` is embedded. While tenant selection is set to "read-only" mode (showing the current tenant name), the KB selector remains active and visible, allowing users to switch KBs within the current tenant context. * **Context Propagation:** The selected KB ID is stored and available for API interceptors. ### 3. API Implementation **Status:** ✅ Correctly Implemented * **Interceptor:** `lightrag_webui/src/api/client.ts` configures an Axios interceptor that automatically injects: * `X-Tenant-ID` header from `localStorage`. * `X-KB-ID` header from `localStorage`. * **Consistency:** All API calls in `lightrag_webui/src/api/lightrag.ts` use the configured `axiosInstance`, ensuring that every request carries the necessary tenant and KB context. * **Tenant API:** `lightrag_webui/src/api/tenant.ts` provides necessary endpoints for fetching tenants and KBs with pagination support. ### 4. Ensure this behavior is desired for production; in a strict multi-tenant environment, it might be better to show an error to the user rather than falling back to a default. * **Type Safety:** The `Tenant` and `KnowledgeBase` interfaces in `stores/tenant.ts` are well-defined. Ensure backend responses strictly match these types to avoid runtime issues. ## Conclusion The multi-tenant architecture in the frontend is solid and ready for use.
